VideoSurveillance.com, a leading provider of IP video surveillance solutions, has added the Arecont Vision H.264 MegaDome Series to its ever-growing catalog of IP network cameras. The Arecont Vision MegaDome Series is a collection of high-performance megapixel IP cameras featuring H.264 video compression and other cutting-edge technologies that enable clear and detailed wide-area surveillance. VideoSurveillance.com is excited to offer the latest network camera offerings from Arecont Vision, further expanding its diverse selection of IP surveillance solutions.
Each model in the Arecont Vision MegaDome Series presents an all-in-one solution that combines an integrated camera, housing, and lens. A three-axis camera gimbal allows for 360-degree pan and 90-degree tilt adjustment for flexible and accurate positioning. A 4-10mm megapixel lens is included, and an IP66-rated weatherproof housing comes standard. The cameras are also vandal-resistant, making them ideal for the most demanding video surveillance installations.
VideoSurveillance.com is pleased to offer four different models from the Arecont Vision H.264 MegaDome Series. The Arecont Vision AV1355 is a 1.3 megapixel IP dome camera offering 1280x1024 resolution with a 32 frames-per-second image rate. The AV2155 is a 2 megapixel network dome camera that provides 6 times the resolution of IP VGA or analog cameras. The Arecont Vision AV3155 provides 3 megapixel resolution, while the AV5155 boasts 5 megapixel 2592x1944 resolution, 15 times that of a traditional surveillance camera. Because Arecont Vision MegaDome cameras deliver a much higher resolution than conventional security cameras, they can actually lower system costs because it takes fewer cameras to monitor wider areas.
To optimize network bandwidth and storage capacity, each Arecont Vision MegaDome Series camera uses H.264 video compression, a leading-edge technology that significantly reduces video file sizes without compromising image quality. Other key features include Power over Ethernet, forensic zooming, and a 1/2-inch CMOS sensor for superior performance in a variety of lighting conditions. Day/night models featuring a motorized IR cut filter are also available.
