VideoSurveillance.com introduces new Mobile Surveillance Systems
As public transportation security concerns have increased in recent years, mobile surveillance systems have become increasingly popular for many varieties of public transit systems including buses, taxi cabs, light rail, trains, and subways. To alleviate rising security concerns, VideoSurveillance.com recently created two new Mobile Surveillance Systems that help deter criminal activity and inappropriate behavior, increase safety by helping drivers focus on their jobs, and provide law enforcement officials with crucial evidence in the event of a criminal investigation.
The Mobotix Bus & Rail Surveillance System provides compact and discreet 360° surveillance for bus and rail applications. The system is powered by the Mobotix Q24 360° network camera. A single Q24 camera captures the entire scene with a panorama function and quad view that shows images from four different angles simultaneously. The camera is supported by Power over Ethernet (PoE), an ideal solution for mobile applications because it requires a single network cable for power and data transmission.
The Vivotek MD7560 is at the heart of the Vivotek Mobile Surveillance System. The MD7560 provides high-quality video footage with 2-megapixel resolution for detailed imaging that makes it possible to identify faces and other crucial details. The MD7560 is built to withstand tampering and harsh weather conditions with IP67-rated housing. This system is ideal for use on many different forms of transportation including buses, trains, taxi cabs, and subways.
Both systems come with a DC/DC POE Injector and an optional 12V Wireless Device. The Mobile Surveillance Systems are also equipped with an included MicroSD card that eliminates the need for a PC or DVR for recording. The card provides long-term storage and all images are processed within the camera itself. This helps optimize network bandwidth and reduces system costs.
