Vivotek introduces IP7133 network camera supporting 3GPP mobile surveillance

Published by Dan on November 3, 2008 3:09 PM

Vivotek has released a new, easy-to-use network camera designed for home and small-business surveillance. The Vivotek IP7133 is an affordable, ultra-compact IP camera that offers a number of advanced features including support for 3GPP mobile surveillance, real-time MPEG-4 and MJPEG compression, digital I/O for an external sensor and alarm, and a privacy button to pause monitoring.

Users can monitor the IP7133 remotely on any PC or 3G cell phone, and since the camera can deliver dual streams in MPEG-4 and MJPEG, different resolutions can be viewed depending on the device. The main applications for the Vivotek IP7133 involve home security. It can be used as a pet monitor, to watch over children or the elderly, and to capture clear video of break-ins. To provide a level of privacy, the camera features a push-button that allows you to manually stop video monitoring when you return home. A wireless model (Vivotek IP7134) is also available.
