Panasonic debuts new megapixel network cameras at ISC West 2009
Panasonic revealed two new i-Pro megapixel cameras this week at ISC West. The Panasonic i-Pro WV-NW5025 and the i-Pro WV-NP502 both offer Super Dynamic imaging technology which enables them to capture properly exposed high-resolution images in difficult lighting conditions such as high-contrast scenes, in direct sunlight, or in dim nighttime situations.
The Panasonic WV-NW5025 is a vandal-resistant fixed dome camera, while the WV-NP502 is a box camera. Both models deliver clear and detailed video images with 3-megapixel resolution, and can stream high-resolution video in H.264 mode at up to 30 frames per second. To ensure proper exposure, the cameras feature a 128x dynamic range, Adaptive Black Stretch technology that brightens up darker areas, and face detection technology that helps for identification and detailed analysis.
The new Panasonic Super Dynamic megapixel cameras are able to transmit multiple video streams simultaneously in H.264, MPEG-4, JPEG, and other compression formats. This optimizes bandwidth while enabling remote video monitoring and high-quality recording.
