Finnish shopping mall migrates toward IP video surveillance
One of Finland's largest malls recently updated its CCTV system with cutting edge IP video technology. Veljekset Keskinen hosts more than 5 million shoppers per year, making it a challenging surveillance application.
The shopping center, which features a hotel, restaurants and entertainment venues, is now monitored by ACTI TCM-5601 network cameras and existing CCTV cameras. The popular TCM-5601 is a megapixel camera with two-way audio and a built-in motion sensor. It's priced affordably, making it a good option for applications requiring numerous cameras.
Meanwhile, the ACTI ACD-2200 video server manages existing CCTV cameras. Together these ACTi products enable Veljekset Keskinen to take advantage of the benefits of IP video surveillance while still maximizing their investment in CCTV cameras.
