NUUO hybrid system featuring Panasonic IP cameras provides stadium surveillance at Lambeau Field

Another fabled football franchise has jumped on the IP surveillance wagon. Last week we told you about the new IP camera installation at Dolphins Stadium. Now comes word that Lambeau Field, home of the legendary Green Bay Packers, is also upgrading its video surveillance system. The new IP-based solution includes Panasonic PTZ network cameras and existing analog cameras operating as part of an integrated video security system. The cameras are managed with NUUO IP video software.

The hybrid surveillance system works to assist security personnel in monitoring all areas of the football stadium, including the 366,000-square-foot Lambeau Field Atrium which stands five stories tall. By switching to an IP-based solution, the video quality is greatly improved. Footage now streams at 15 frames per second, while bandwidth and storage capacity are optimized.

The NUUO software manages all of the stadium's 150 cameras simultaneously, including 70 IP cameras which are monitored on five high-definition LCD screens. Operators can monitor and control the pan/tilt/zoom functionality of the Panasonic IP camera remotely to zero in on specific incidents. This helps to speed up response times, and improve overall security for the stadium and the thousands of fans that pour in on Sundays to watch the Packers take the field.
