ISC West 2010: Panasonic introduces new bundled network camera systems

At this week's ISC West conference in Las Vegas, Panasonic is unveiling two economical IP camera/NVR bundled systems. Each system includes four network cameras. You can choose a package with high-resolution megapixel cameras with H.264 compression, or one with standard digital IP network cameras. Both are geared towards small business video surveillance applications such as convenience stores and fast-food restaurants.

While small in scale, Panasonic's new bundled IP camera systems are big on features and functionality. The megapixel camera bundle includes four Panasonic BB-HCM705A mini-dome PTZ cameras, along with a Panasonic WJ-ND200 NVR offering 320GB of hard drive space. The BB-HCM705A captures detailed surveillance footage with a megapixel, progressive scan sensor, and can stream high-quality video at up to 30 frames per second using H.264, MPEG4, and JPEG compression. It also provides fast PTZ control and a low-light viewing mode.

The other Panasonic IP camera bundle comes with four Panasonic BB-HCM701A network cameras and the WJ-ND200 network video recorder. The Panasonic BB-HCM701A features 3x digital zoom and low-light performance down to 0.04 lux.
