D-Link unveils feature-rich DCS-3110 and DCS-6110 network cameras

Published by Dan on August 13, 2009 9:43 AM

This week D-Link introduced two feature-rich IP network cameras designed for professional video surveillance applications. The D-Link DCS-3110 and DCS-6110 are versatile IP cameras well-suited for remote and local monitoring of everything from businesses and industrial sites to office buildings and schools.

The D-Link DCS-6110 is a fixed dome network camera with a compact design that makes it a solid choice for locations requiring discreet surveillance. The DCS-3110 is a fixed box camera that delivers clear and detailed video images with a 1.3 megapixel sensor and true day/night functionality for uninterrupted surveillance around the clock.

Both camera models support Power over Ethernet, which makes installation easy and cost-effective. Power to the camera and data are sent along a single Ethernet cable. They also both provide simultaneous streaming of MPEG-4 and Motion JPEG video, so users can use different formats based on required image quality and network bandwidth constraints.

Another notable feature of both the D-Link DCS-6110 and the D-Link DCS-3110 is their support for 3GPP mobile surveillance. This allows users to view live camera feeds from any internet-enabled 3GPP cell phone or PDA.
