Bosch unveils AutoDome Easy II H.264 IP cameras
This week Bosch announced some new additions to its AutoDome Easy series, including a fresh batch of compact PTZ network cameras for both indoor and outdoor use. The new AutoDome Easy II IP series aims to provide discreet surveillance solutions offering advanced features not found in most compact PTZ dome cameras.
Bosch is lauding the cameras as an idea solution for unobtrusive video surveillance in retail stores, schools, banks, and office buildings. AutoDome Easy II IP cameras are less than half the size of a standard PTZ dome camera and can provide as much coverage as four fixed minidome cameras, essentially allowing the user to monitor wider areas with fewer cameras. The AutoDome Easy II also provides 360-degree high-speed continuous panning to quickly follow objects and activity within a scene.
As for those advanced features, each AutoDome Easy II IP camera offers optional Intelligent Video Analysis (IVA) functions to automatically alert operators of potential threats. Examples of sophisticated IVA functionality include the ability to detect such activities as loitering, left objects, object removal and line crossing. All of the cameras also support multiple H.264 video streams, plus tri-streaming in H.264 and JPEG to produce high-quality images for live viewing and recording.
