Introducing the Axis Q6032-E PTZ Dome with H.264 compression

Published by Dan on May 11, 2009 4:30 PM

Axis Communications continues to add to its line of IP network cameras featuring H.264 compression technology. The Axis Q6032-E is the latest release. This high-performance PTZ dome camera is outdoor-ready, and ideal for demanding surveillance locations such as airport, seaports, and city and perimeter surveillance. Like most new Axis cameras, the Q6032-E utilizes H.264 video compression, a fairly recent compression technology that significantly reduces video file size without compromising image quality. This helps to optimize network bandwidth and storage space, and is especially beneficial when dealing with high-resolution video.

Axis Q6032-E

The Axis Q6032-E is built for difficult outdoor environments. It can operate all the way down to -40 degrees F, and features an IP66-rated dome which offers protection against dust and water.

The camera delivers fast and precise pan/tilt/zoom functionality, along with auto-tracking and electronic image stabilization. Other notable features include true day/night performance, 128x wide dynamic range, progressive scan, and 35x optical zoom for zeroing on details such as faces and license plates.
