Axis P33 Network Camera Series introduced at ISC West 2009

Published by Dan on April 1, 2009 11:00 AM

Axis Communications announced a new series of IP network cameras today at ISC West. The Axis P33 Network Camera Series features modular fixed domes that offer unique remote focus and zoom capabilities. The cameras are designed for easy installation in both indoor and harsh outdoor environments. Suitable for a wide range of demanding video applications, the cameras deliver high performance video with HDTV image quality and multiple H.264 streams.

Axis P33

The Axis P33 Network Camera Series includes six different models ranging from standard indoor and outdoor models, to vandal-proof models geared towards harsh environments. Outdoor Axis P33 cameras can operate in extreme sub-zero temperatures. Each camera model supports Power over Ethernet for flexible, cost-effective installation. Other attributes include on-board storage with a built-in SD/SDHC memory card slot, and intelligent functions such as video motion detection, audio detection, and detection of tampering. The cameras also support two-way audio.

A key feature of Axis P33 cameras is their ability to provide multiple video streams in H.264 compression. H.264 greatly optimizes network bandwidth and storage without sacrificing image quality. The cameras also support Motion JPEG for increased flexibility.
