Axis P1347 megapixel network camera makes its debut at ISC West

Published by Dan on March 24, 2010 12:09 PM

The new camera announcements continue at ISC West. Today we got a sneak peek at the Axis P1347, a top-of-the-line, 5-megapixel fixed network camera featuring HDTV 1080p performance, and precise iris control for superior image quality. Two models are available: the indoor Axis P1347, and the Axis P1347-E for outdoor installations.

Axis P1347

Both the indoor and outdoor versions of the Axis P1347 are built to handle demanding surveillance applications. Because of its high resolution, the camera offers can monitor much larger areas than conventional security cameras. The P1347 delivers exceptional image detail for identification purposes, and for defining far-away objects. It's also easy to install, and supports PoE so a lone Ethernet cable is all that's needed for delivering video as well as power.

A key highlight of the Axis P1347 is its use of P-Iris technology. P-Iris enables precise iris control to optimize depth of field. The end result is optimal image sharpness. The camera also meets HDTV standards. It supports 16:9, HDTV 1080p format for surveillance applications requiring full frame rate video and outstanding image quality.

The Axis P1347 network camera will be available in June 2010, and the Axis P1347-E outdoor model will be released in July.
