ACTi ACM-3601 and ACTi ACM-3701 IP mini-dome cameras are now available

ACTi has just released a couple new mini-dome network camera models built for unobtrusive surveillance in a variety of indoor and outdoor locations. The ACTi ACM-3601 and ACTi ACM-3701 are compact fixed dome cameras, each featuring a vibration-proof, vandal-resistant design that makes them ideal for use in transportation vehicles, industrial locations, hotels, and other exposed areas where video security is critical. Both cameras are also weatherproof, with an IP66-rated housing to protect against dust and moisture.

The difference between the two cameras essentially comes down to resolution. The ACTi ACM-3601 streams VGA (640 x 480) resolution video at up to 30 frames per second, while the ACM-3701 can capture and stream SXGA (1280 x 1024) megapixel video. The benefits of megapixel video include sharper video images for detailed monitoring and identification, and also a wider overall field of view. Megapixel cameras such as the ACTi ACM-3701 can monitor larger areas than traditional security cameras. Both the ACM-3601 and the ACM-3701 support Power over Ethernet for flexible, cost-effective installation.
