Advanced IP Camera Technology
The Panasonic WV-NP244 is part of the latest movement in surveillance camera technology - IP cameras. Instead of using traditional coaxial cable and VHS cassettes like their analog counterparts, IP cameras like the WV-NP344 are 100% digital. After its sensors record the footage in the WV-NP244's line of site, the footage is transmitted over an Ethernet connection (either over the Internet or an Intranet) to a central PC, where footage is stored and can be viewed through Panasonic's easy to use management software, or, if transmitted over the internet, can be viewed from any Internet connection, or even from a properly equipped cell phone!
Reliable, High Quality Footage
Get the clearest, skip-free footage with progressive scan output. This technology combines MPEG-4 and M-JPEG resolutions to create the best of both worlds - seamlessly recording busy scenes with moving objects like customers and pedestrians. A built-in motion detector can be configured to send e-mail alerts after hours, giving users a security system that they can stay on top of.
