A shortfall of many IP cameras is low light - during the day or in brightly lit places, recording is fine. But once the sun falls, or the lights in that interior hallway go off for the day, many IP cameras struggle to thoroughly record every activity that takes place in their field. Not so with the Canon VB-C50i - its ultra-sensitive sensors can record footage at a shutter speed as low as 1/30. When that gets too dark - or the lights go out completely, the VB-C50i's advanced IR (infrared) sensor kicks in, keeping the footage as clear as ever.
Flexible Setup and Viewing Options
Instead of using an AC power source, Canon's VB-C50i gets power over its Ethernet connection (PoE), making set up and maintenance of this PTZ IP camera less about fussing with cords and more about convenience and simplicity. Simply mount the VB-C50i and connect it to its power source - that's all it takes to get high tech digital surveillance footage streaming to a computer.
A flexible mount and a wide variety of pan options allow the Canon VB-C50i to see more than most other PTZ cameras on the market. With a wall-mounted VB-C50i, you can pan up to 200 degrees and tilt up to 120 degrees. The ceiling-mounted VB-C50i allows you to pan up to 340 degrees - giving operators a near-complete scope of footage.
