The Arecont Vision AV3130 combines megapixel technology and day/night functionality in a powerful IP camera solution suitable for a wide range of surveillance applications. While some megapixel cameras falter in low-light situations, the 3130 delivers clear and detailed images both day and night. In light conditions, the camera provides full color, 3 megapixel 2040x1530 resolution. In dark conditions, the AV3130 switches to monochrome mode and continues to deliver outstanding video images with 1.3 megapixel 1280x1024 resolution. The switch is seamless, meaning there's no sensitivity drop-off when darkness falls. This makes the AV3130 ideal for locations requiring continuous, 24-hour surveillance.
Along with improved image detail and clarity, megapixel cameras can save costs by offering a wide field of view. The 3 megapixel AV3130 can monitor broad areas that would typically require multiple analog cameras. The camera also supports PoE, which lowers installations costs by eliminating the need for extensive wiring. Power to the camera, and data transmissions, are sent through a single Ethernet cable.
