With full D1 resolution, you'll enjoy sharp footage that's properly exposed so that you will have the usable, clear evidence you need in the event of a security breach. Ideal for small-to-medium-sized security operations suffering from highly variable lighting situations, the ACTi CAM-5301 works well as an office surveillance camera, a retail security camera, a warehouse surveillance camera or in any space with both bright light and dark shadow. In addition to this network camera's automatic backlight compensation feature, it also comes with an automatic, switchable DC/video iris and automatic white balance to ensure accurate footage.
Network optimization that makes the most of slow connections
If you'd like to maximize the number of users who may view your footage online, but don't want to burden your network unnecessarily, the ACTi CAM-5301 supports multistreaming at a variable frame rate (number of frames per second) to best work with the network you're on. The ACTi CAM-5301 also supports MPEG-4, a smaller compression format, which takes up less space on your network than traditional JPEG videos. So that only an authorized user may watch your footage, the camera's remote Web interface is password-protected, making your remote surveillance system easy to use without compromising your security.
