However, the ACTi ACM-5601 also works well as a retail surveillance camera, a home surveillance camera, or in any situation with at least 0.5 Lux illumination.

Power over Ethernet gives you the ability to provide both electricity and Internet connectivity to your surveillance camera, which affords greater freedom of placement and eliminates the need for multiple cords. To make the most of your bandwidth, the ACTi ACM-5601 comes with multi-streaming capability, in either MPEG-4 SP or MJPEG compression formats. And because it comes with automatic or manual white balance, electronic shutter and exposure settings, you'll be able to tailor your camera to suit your specific situation and location.
