Sandwich shop installs cameras a week before armed robbery

Published by Margeaux on May 23, 2011 9:37 AM

Roger and Kam Subways serves lunch fare at 15 locations across the greater Vancouver metro area. The owner of the Canadian business recently installed ACTi network cameras to monitor its sandwich shops. In an ironic twist, one location was robbed just a week later.

The shop’s ACTi TCM-4201 IP camera recorded a man as he entered the shop, pulled a knife and demanded money. While the robber was able to escape, he didn’t get far. Police arrested him not long after receiving video footage from the sub shop owner.
