Vivotek readies release of PZ7151 and PZ7152 PTZ network cameras

Vivotek is introducing a new set of PTZ network cameras featuring progressive scan CCD for capturing smooth images of moving objects. The Vivotek PZ7151 operates using Power over Ethernet, while the Vivotek PZ7152 is the WLAN model. The cameras are designed for indoor surveillance in locations such as retail stores, banks, and office buildings.

Each camera is equipped with a 2.6x optical lens that includes a motorized pan-focus zoom module. This provides greater depth of field when viewing objects both near and far. With 350-degree horizontal range of capture and 125-degree vertical range, the Vivotek PZ7151/PZ7152 effectively provides the user with a wide-area view.

Other notable features include two-way audio, simultaneous MPEG-4 and MJPEG compression, 3GPP mobile surveillance, and bundled 16-channel recording software.
