Vivotek launches online Design Tool
Figuring out the right products to use in a video surveillance system can be tricky. Luckily Vivotek, the manufacturer behind a bevy of IP surveillance products developed an online Design Tool to simplify the process of finding the right products for specific video surveillance projects.
With the Design Tool users input their specific criteria, selecting from attributes such as indoor or outdoor locations, daytime and nighttime surveillance, required resolution, networking, and video compression. Vivotek also offers an option to choose the camera series such as Pan/Tilt/Zoom, Fixed, Speed Dome, or Fixed Dome.
Once the specified criteria are input the Design Tool presents results based on those key specifications. Users can then compare the returned products based on storage and bandwidth, how the camera is powered and other factors. Vivotek also includes information on accessories for the video encoders and IP cameras based on user-selections. The online program helps save time and energy when trying to find the right fit in a video surveillance system.
