Vivotek introduces new IP cameras at ISC West

Published by Dan on April 3, 2009 1:36 PM

The folks from Vivotek are on hand at ISC West 2009 showcasing a slew of new IP camera products. One of the new product offerings is the Vivotek IP7161, a fixed network camera that boasts 2-megapixel resolution and day/night functionality. The IP7161 is ideal for wide-area surveillance in locations such as airports and building entrances. And because of its high resolution, the camera is well-suited for applications requiring detailed surveillance for identification, for instance identifying faces in banks, or license plate numbers in parking lots.

With 2-megapixel resolution, the Vivotek IP7161 captures exceptionally clear and detailed video images, and also provides a much larger field of view than traditional security cameras. This allows users to cut costs because they can install a single IP7161 to monitor areas that would require multiple VGA camera models.

For continuous 24-hour surveillance, the Vivotek IP7161 delivers day/night functionality with a built-in removable IR-cut filter. It also has an auto-iris lens that allows the camera to adapt to frequent light changes. Other notable features of the IP7161 include tamper detection, an SD/SDHC card slot for temporary recording and data storage, Power over Ethernet, and two-way audio.
