Vivotek introduces IP8151 fixed network camera for Supreme Night Visibility

Published by Amelia on September 7, 2010 4:38 PM

Vivotek is expanding their line of fixed network cameras with the IP8151 Supreme Night Visibility model. What makes the IP8151 unique is its impressive ability to capture color footage at night and in low visibility conditions. The Vivotek fixed network camera boasts 1.3 megapixel resolution to capture sharp, clear details in color.

The IP8151 supports H.264 compression technology for optimizing network bandwidth and storage by drastically reducing file sizes. The new model is also compatible with MPEG-4 and MJEPG technology, adding versatility by allowing video streams to be transmitted in those formats when needed. For further convenience and flexibility, the Vivotek IP8151 is powered by Power over Ethernet (PoE) which saves time and money when it comes to installing a video surveillance solution.

The fixed network camera uses the latest ExMor sensor technology from Sony and features built-in tamper detection. The IP8151 has a removable IR-cut filter for day and night function as well as a built-in SD/SDHC card slot for on board storage.
