Iraq oil refinery enhances surveillance system with Vivotek

An Iraq oil refinery recently updated its analog security camera system to a more robust and updated solution. Using Vivotek VS7100 video servers and Vivotek RX7101 video receivers, the oil refinery upgraded from analog video to digital video while still using existing cameras.

Digital conversion enables video to be transmitted over long distances without suffering the loss of quality innate to analog data transmission. This is especially important for the oil refinery, which must secure a vast area. Vivotek’s technology allows the oil refinery to continue utilizing its investment in analog cameras while reaping the benefits of digital video.
