At ASIS 2008 in Atlanta, VideoIQ revealed its new iCVR Storage Encoder. The VideoIQ iCVR allows users to integrate their existing analog CCTV cameras into an IP-based surveillance system that offers power, flexibility, and intelligent functionality. The encoder is ideal for those who want the benefits of IP-based surveillance, while still being able to make use of their analog security cameras.
VideoIQ received some critical acclaim recently for its Video iCVR intelligent IP camera. The camera was selected for the AlwaysOn East 100 List, an award handed out each year to emerging technology companies pushing innovation in high-growth markets. AlwaysOn recognized the VideoIQ iCVR network camera for taking intelligent IP video surveillance in a new direction. The camera features a built-in DVR which allows for proactive security protection with dynamic, real-time video analytics.
Last week at the ASIS trade show, it was announced that the VideoIQ iCVR line of intelligent IP cameras is now supported by Milestone XProtect video management software. This integration provides users with a seamless solution for proactive surveillance using advanced video analytics. The VideoIQ's iCVR camera is an innovative network camera that features a built-in DVR and integrated video management. The camera and iCVR encoders will now work with Milestone XProtect Enterpise software and version 2.0 of XProtect Corporate.
VideoIQ announced a slew of new products this week, including the iCVR dome camera line, boasting zero bandwidth recording and adaptive analytics, and an advanced video management system. What exactly does "zero bandwidth recording" really mean? In this case, it means each VideoIQ iCVR dome camera can hold up to half a terabyte of onboard storage. That's a significant amount compared to the amount of onboard storage we usually see. With this much storage built into the camera, you could conceivably record months worth of footage without having to stream to a central NVR. So that, in essence, is how these cameras can record without hoarding bandwidth.
Another new product line showcased at the recent ISC West conference is VideoIQ's series of iCVR-MP megapixel dome cameras. VideoIQ iCVR-MP cameras deliver high-resolution 1080p video at full frame rate, while offering sophisticated video analytics and support for IQTrack digital PTZ. This makes them well-suited for monitoring large open areas required detailed surveillance video. Each camera also comes equipped with up to a half-terabyte of onboard NVR storage. On-camera recording can reduce deployment costs, and gives you the ability to establish a surveillance solution offering zero-bandwidth recording. High-quality video can be recorded straight to the camera rather than sent over the network to a centralized storage device. This can be useful for applications where conventional surveillance installations are impossible or impractical.
VideoIQ is set to show off its line of iCVR intelligent surveillance products at next week's IFSEC security conference. The iCVR series of cameras, encoders and video management software aims to create surveillance solutions that offer the option of zero bandwidth recording, while providing adaptive video analytics. At IFSEC, special attention will be paid to the VideoIQ iCVR-MP megapixel network camera, the iCVR video encoder, and the VideoIQ View video management system.
