Toshiba NVR software gets an upgrade

Published by Dan on December 29, 2009 3:37 PM

Toshiba has upgraded its network video recording server software to allow more flexibility in live viewing, recording, and playback. The software now enables users to simultaneously manage up to 32 local or remote IP network cameras per server.

Designed for use on non-proprietary hardware and IT infrastructure running Microsoft Windows XP, Toshiba NVR software is a cost-effective package for IP video management. The software seamlessly integrates with video recorders, pan/tilt/zoom camera controls, and motion detection devices. It also allows for high-quality recording at resolutions that match each camera's peak performance level. That includes megapixel network cameras from manufacturers such as Axis, Panasonic, Sony, and of course Toshiba's own high-resolution IP camera models.

Additional Toshiba NVR software features include audio recording, advanced POS and ATM support, and multiple levels of security access. The software also supports digital signatures for tamper-proof video and JPG image exporting.
