Toshiba introduces IK-WB30A IP camera with two-megapixel sensor

Published by Dan on December 17, 2009 10:20 AM

This week Toshiba released the new IK-WB30A network camera designed for detail-sensitive video surveillance. The camera features an advanced two-megapixel CMOS sensor that makes it ideal for applications requiring high-resolution video for identification and analysis.

The IK-WB30A has the highest resolution of any Toshiba network camera. With a top resolution of 1600 x 1200 pixels, it delvers up to 6 times the pixel-count of traditional cameras with VGA (640 x 480) resolution. Aside from improved image detail, this also means the Toshiba IK-WB30A can monitor much larger areas, as it offers a broader field of view. The key benefit there is you can achieve comprehensive monitoring while using fewer cameras.

Other key features of the Toshiba IK-WB30A include Power over Ethernet, simultaneous MPEG-4 and MJPEG streaming, and true day/night imaging with IR night vision.
