Sony just announced four new IP cameras built to deliver high-definition surveillance footage. Each network camera model offers H.264, MPEG-4, and JPEG compression, and can stream high-def video at up to 30 frames per second in full 1280 x 720 resolution.
Another key attribute of Sony's new high-def IP cameras is their ability to capture clear images without motion blur in low-light settings. They call this feature "excellent dynamic noise reduction" or XDNR. The camera's also feature Sony's Distributed Enhanced Processing Architecture (DEPA), which allows for automated alarm triggering based on user-defined rules such as motion detection, alarm tampering, and audio detection.
Available cameras in Sony's new high-def series include the SNC-CH140 fixed box camera, the SNC-DH140 mini-dome, the SNC-RH124 indoor PTZ camera, and the SNC-RH164 outdoor PTZ model.
