Samsung introduces SND-460V vandal-resistant network dome camera
Samsung has launched a new network dome camera designed for use in demanding outdoor surveillance locations. The Samsung SND-460V features a die-cast aluminum body and a polycarbonate dome built to withstand any acts of tampering and vandalism. The camera's housing is also weatherproof, with an IP66 rating for use in difficult outdoor environments.
Along with its rugged physical attributes, the Samsung SND-460V delivers outstanding image quality and provides the option of simultaneous real-time streaming with MPEG-4 and JPEG compression. This enables users at separate locations to choose which format best serves their purposes for remote monitoring.
Other highlights of the Samsung SND-460V include a vari-focal lens for flexible camera positioning, and true day/night functionality with an integrated IR cut filter. The camera also boasts a unique "Highlight Compensation" feature that can capture properly exposed images even in the face of bright light sources such as car headlights. For intelligent monitoring, the SND-460V offers built-in video analytics that can detect the appearance and disappearance of objects and individuals.
