QNAP releases ONVIF compliant firmware upgrade

Published by Margeaux on February 21, 2011 9:56 AM

QNAP announces its ONVIF compliant update from Viostor Network Video Recorder. Firmware version 3.3.1 supports more than 1,000 models of IP cameras and video servers by 38 brands.

This upgrade offers new functions such as auto video snapshot savings, which allows users to specifically time snapshots and save to a designated sever. Another new feature is specific channel remote setting. This enables users of differing management levels to prioritize records, making it easier to quickly pull up the most important footage.

The firmware update enhances settings for local display and live view for Viostar PRO series. It also allows users to control audio and visual PTZ functions through sound cards and joystick USB connections, making it a convenient solution for retail surveillance.

The 3.3.1 update makes set up incredibly easy. Simply plug in a VGA/TV monitor and USB-driven house to view recorded video or monitor live footage.
