Panasonic introduces pair of low-cost IP network cameras

Published by Dan on January 11, 2010 4:09 PM

Panasonic has announced a pair of user-friendly network cameras geared towards home and small-business surveillance. The Panasonic BL-C210 is a sleek plug-and-play camera that offers easy installation and real-time remote monitoring. The Panasonic BL-C230 is a wireless network camera that allows for flexible installation in almost any indoor location.

Both IP camera models feature an integrated internet connection that allows users to access their cameras and view video feeds from anywhere, at any time. The cameras support remote monitoring via standard web browser, and even from compatible cell phones and internet-enabled HDTVs. A free personalized web address is included with each camera, and users can also control pan, tilt, and zoom functions remotely.

H.264 video compression is another key feature available with both the BL-C210 and the BL-C230. With H.264, users can stream higher-quality video feeds at smaller file sizes that help to optimize bandwidth and storage space. Other notable features include sensors for motion, sound and body-heat, a built-in microphone, and advanced privacy settings.
