Learn How To Select the Best Security Camera System for use in your Home or Business in our Insider's Guide to Video Surveillance.
The Massachusetts Convention Center Authority (MCCA) has installed an IP video solution from OnSSI to manage a large-scale surveillance network monitoring multiple sites. The IP surveillance system provides video security for the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center, the John B. Hynes Veterans Memorial Convention Center, the MassMutual Center, and the Boston Common Garage. It uses a suite of OnSSI IP video products built around the NetDVMS enterprise-level video management system.
OnSSI NetDVMS is designed for multi-site, multi-server NVR and camera management applications. It provides powerful tools for recording, archiving, and event management, and supports an unlimited number of security cameras.
For its main monitoring and investigation interface, the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority is using OnSSI's NetGuard-EVS video client, and has future plans to transition to Ocularis Client Lite, which is a new high-performance video client for the NetDVMS system. MCCA officers can now monitor video sent to any local or remote display using a map-based touch-screen controller. Users can also view camera footage on the move using NetPDA mobile clients. The main goal of the system is to increase security through access control, comprehensive monitoring, faster response times, and intelligent tools for quickly searching video evidence.
