OnSSI launches new IP surveillance platform for small and medium sized businesses
OnSSI recently released ProSight-SMB 6.0, an IP video surveillance platform geared towards small and medium sized businesses. The new software solution is available in 4, 6, 9, 16, and 25 camera license packages. It provides tools for remote video monitoring and post-event investigation, for instance digital pan, tilt, and zoom into recorded video images. Video footage is accessible over the Web or a Local Area Network (LAN) via NetGuard video client.
The new ProSight-SMB 6.0 platform provides benefits not available with a proprietary DVR solution, making it easier to access video footage remotely, identify specific events, then retrieve and export those video images for further analysis. While designed for small to medium sized organizations, ProSight-SMB 6.0 includes many of the features available on OnSSI's larger-scale offerings. The platform is completely IP-based, and provides universal camera and video encoder support, meaning it can connect to almost any IP camera, or analog camera using a video encoder.
