NUUO Inc. announced this week that its video management system can be adopted for the use of network cameras using H.264 video compression. H.264 is the latest cutting-edge compression technology being adopted by top IP camera manufacturers such as Axis, Arecont Vision, and Sony. H.264 products can be supported by NUUO IP+ Series video management software, as well as the NVRmini Standalone system.
The Sheraton Dallas Hotel, located in the center of Dallas' downtown financial district, has installed an integrated IP video surveillance system that uses network cameras and video servers from ACTi. There's a lot of area to monitor in the sprawling hotel, which features 1,842 guest rooms and 12 large convention rooms that offer over 230,000 square feet of meeting space. The new IP-based surveillance system includes 96 ACTi network cameras, while incorporating the hotels existing analog cameras.
Another fabled football franchise has jumped on the IP surveillance wagon. Last week we told you about the new IP camera installation at Dolphins Stadium. Now comes word that Lambeau Field, home of the legendary Green Bay Packers, is also upgrading its video surveillance system. The new IP-based solution includes Panasonic PTZ network cameras and existing analog cameras operating as part of an integrated video security system. The cameras are managed with NUUO IP video software.
Park Central is a 550,440-square-foot complex located in the heart of Denver's downtown business district. The building contains everything from a bank and ATM machines, to a fitness room, restaurant, and a media center. In order to provide effective security for the complex, a video surveillance system incorporating both IP cameras and analog CCTV cameras was recently installed. The surveillance solution features ACTi megapixel IP cameras along with analog cameras all running to a NUUO Hybrid NDVR server.
