Mobotix to introduce 3.1 megapixel camera systems at IIPSEC 2008

IIPSEC 2008 - Unraveling the Mysteries of Networked Security & BMS Technology - is set to go down Jan.29-31 in Nr Coventry UK. And Mobotix will be on hand to show off its new 3.1 megapixel camera systems. The new megapixel Mobotix IP cameras are capable of viewing and recording images with a resolution of up to 3.1 megapixels (2048x1536).

IP cameras with megapixel resolution offer a number of benefits over traditional security cameras, including higher resolution, superior image detail, and the potential for lower costs. Because megapixel IP cameras like the new Mobotix models can cover such wide areas, they are able to do the work of several standard cameras.

Additional highlights of the 3.1 megapixel camera solutions being introduced by Mobotix at IIPSEC include two-way audio, audio recording, and multiple storage options. The cameras feature 8GB of onboard storage, support Terabyte recording on an external server, and NAS through integrated MX video management software. The camera systems operate using Power over Ethernet, offer unlimited scalability, and require little maintenance because there are no moving parts. The new Mobotix 3.1 megapixel camera systems are also certified for both indoor and outdoor use without the need for additional housing.
