Mobotix Q24M hemispheric camera takes wide-area surveillance to the next level
Fresh off the heels of its first breakthrough hemispheric IP camera, the Q22M, Mobotix has upped the ante once again with a new and improved Q24M model. Like its predecessor, the Mobotix Q24M includes a unique integrated distortion feature which allows for clear and accurate panoramic images. This eliminates the bending and distortion of images you often find with panoramic or wide-angle cameras. The camera captures high-resolution video images with a 180-degree field of view, perfect for detailed wide-area surveillance.
The Mobotix Q24M features a 3.1 megapixel sensor and can stream high-definition megapixel video at up to 30 frames per second. The camera also features an internal DVR with a 32 GB memory capacity, which helps to reduce bandwidth usage as video processing can take place in the camera. Users can choose to view the entire monitored area, or take advantage of digital pan/tilt/zoom functions to analyze specific portions of the scene. Because of the camera's high resolution, image quality remains extremely high, even when you're zooming in. This makes it especially useful for single-camera monitoring of large areas that require precise detail. Another advantage of digital PTZ is the lack of moving parts. Everything is done digitally, so there's less wear and tear on the camera than with traditional PTZ solutions.
