Mobotix and Overland Storage partner up for bundled video surveillance and archiving solutions
Overland Storage announced last week that it will be teaming up with Mobotix to deliver high-resolution video surveillance and archiving solutions geared towards the under 100-camera system market. The systems will include products from the Overland Snap Server network attached storage family (NAS), along with Mobotix megapixel IP cameras. Overland's Snap Server line is designed to give users outstanding storage capacity in a scalable solution that supports future growth.
Large storage capacity is a key factor to these bundled systems because it allows users to get the most out of the high-resolution Mobotix cameras. Megapixel cameras provide exceptionally clear and detailed images, and can support cutting-edge video analytics applications. Mobotix IP cameras use an efficient MxPEG recording format to send high-quality video footage directly to network storage, while optimizing bandwidth. This process eliminates the need for network video recorders.
