Milestone rated as number one IP video software according to report
IMS Research has published a new report that ranks Milestone Systems as the global leader in IP video surveillance software. The report rates Milestone as having the highest world market share for software-only vendors of open platform network video management solutions. The IMS Research report, entitled "The World Market for CCTV and Video Surveillance Equipment" was published last month.
According to the report, the total market for video surveillance equipment is expected to increase 13.4 percent each year through 2012. A significant portion of that increase will consist of IP video surveillance products, and IP video management software revenues are projected to top $1 billion by 20012. The report confirms Milestone is a leader in true open platform IP video management solutions. The company aims to develop surveillance software that's user-friendly, flexible, reliable, and easy to integrate with other systems.
