Dutch hospital surveillance provided by IQeye megapixel cameras

Waterland Hospital, a large healthcare facility in the Netherlands, has deployed a comprehensive video surveillance system incorporating IQeye megapixel IP cameras from IQinVision. The IQeye IP cameras work in conjunction with access control, parking management, and intercoms as part of an integrated security solution.

Because the hospital is an open environment, video surveillance can play a critical roll in providing video coverage of all who enter and leave the facilities. The footage is also valuable as visual evidence when specific events require investigation.

Waterland Hospital chose to use megapixel IP cameras because of their superior image quality, and because of their broad coverage capabilities. One of the benefits of high-resolution megapixel cameras is they can cover larger areas than conventional security cameras. In the case of Waterloo, this means fewer cameras are required to achieve wide-area video coverage of the hospital and its surrounding areas.
