Bank surveillance solution features IQeye network cameras and Milestone software
Smart IP cameras from IQinVision will be used along with Milestone IP video management software to monitor all branches of the Farmers & Merchants Bank of Central California. IQinVision recently announced the bank surveillance project which will be a significant upgrade over the F&M Bank's old video security setup. The new system will primarily utilize IQeye511 network cameras to monitor lobbies, teller windows, and ATMs.
Some key advantages of the new system include improved image quality, and easy installation with Power over Ethernet. Because of the high resolution of the IQeye511 cameras, the bank can monitor two teller areas with a single camera. This helps to cut costs, while the image detail is easily strong enough for facial identification. The cameras were also chosen for their reliability, since failure rate was one of the bank's big concerns.
Once the project is complete, F&M Bank will have over 100 IQeye network cameras protecting its branches. The bank will use Milestone video management software to manage the system and control camera output. The cameras will be running continuously 24 hours a day, streaming and recording at 3-5 frames per second, which is enough to capture details of every transaction and record motion while optimizing bandwidth and storage.
