School construction site surveillance provided by ioimage and Pelco
Southern California's Poway Unified School District is in the midst of a large-scale construction project that requires continuous video surveillance to protect the site and construction materials from vandalism and theft. The chosen solution features intelligent IP video appliances from ioimage along with Pelco Spectra IV network cameras.
With video analytics from ioimage, the system is able to provide 24-hour intelligent surveillance of the entire site with proactive alerts that can be viewed from a remote monitoring station. One of the keys to the surveillance system is its ability to limit false alarms that can sometimes be a problem with sensor-based technology. Video analytics help to eliminate this problem.
The 64-acre construction site is now monitored by three mobile surveillance trailers which can be deployed to future sites once the current project is completed.
