New D-Link DCS-6110 fixed dome network camera features built-in server

The new IP camera models from D-Link continue to pop put of the oven. The latest release is the D-Link DCS-6110, a fixed dome network camera suitable for indoor and outdoor surveillance. The camera features a built-in Samba server for NAS that enables it to save recorded video footage directly to storage without connecting to a PC.

Other notable highlights include Power over Ethernet, and easy integration with external devices - the camera can be triggered by door switches and alarm relays, for example. It also offers dual MJPEG and MPEG video streams, which allows users to view live high-resolution video while simultaneously storing MPEG images without hoarding bandwidth.

Video from the D-Link DCS-6110 can be viewed remotely from a PC or any cell phone with 3GPP compatibility. The camera comes bundled with D-Link's D-ViewCam 2.0 video management software.
