D-Link SecuriCam PTZ Network Camera designed for whole-room monitoring

D-Link has unveiled a new PTZ network camera designed for whole-room video surveillance in homes, offices, and small businesses. The D-Link SecuriCam Pan/Tilt/Zoom Network Camera (D-Link DCS-5610) can be mounted on the ceiling or wall, and allows users to remotely control pan, tilt, and zoom functions in order to achieve wide-area surveillance from a single camera.

The camera can be configured to record at specific times throughout the day, or when motion is detected. An auto-start motion detector delivers email alerts when triggered, and can even stream live feeds to a PDA or internet-enabled cell phone. Other notable features include 4x digital zoom, 2.6x optical zoom, two-way audio support, and full 640x480 resolution at up to 30 frames per second. The D-Link DCS-5610 network camera also provides remote video monitoring, real time alerts, and Power over Ethernet.
