Here's a unique example of video surveillance in action, courtesy of Florida's Gulfarium Marine Park. The marine park, located on the beachfront of the Gulf of Mexico, hosts marine shows such as the world-famous Top Deck Dolphin Show, and other animal attractions in a facility that includes tanks containing 500,000 gallons of water. Recent security breaches, including an incident where a group of spring breakers snuck into the park after hours to swim with the animals, have caused the park to enhance its level of security. The first step was implementing a video surveillance system to protect the animals, secure park facilities, and also to give trainers and veterinarians deeper insight into the lives of these sea-faring creatures. The surveillance system is comprised of four D-Link DCS-6620G wireless optical zoom network cameras, and three D-Link DCS-3420 wireless day and night IP cameras.
Looking to provide budget-friendly solutions for home and office surveillance, D-Link has released two new IP cameras. The D-Link Wireless G Network Camera (DCS-920) connects wirelessly to a home or small business network, provides remote video monitoring, and can be mounted in difficult areas not conducive to wired cameras. The more affordable D-Link DCS-910 connects to the network using a standard Ethernet cable.
D-Link has unveiled a new PTZ network camera designed for whole-room video surveillance in homes, offices, and small businesses. The D-Link SecuriCam Pan/Tilt/Zoom Network Camera (D-Link DCS-5610) can be mounted on the ceiling or wall, and allows users to remotely control pan, tilt, and zoom functions in order to achieve wide-area surveillance from a single camera.
The new IP camera models from D-Link continue to pop put of the oven. The latest release is the D-Link DCS-6110, a fixed dome network camera suitable for indoor and outdoor surveillance. The camera features a built-in Samba server for NAS that enables it to save recorded video footage directly to storage without connecting to a PC.

D-Link has unveiled a new megapixel IP camera geared towards homes and small businesses. The D-Link DCS-2121 aims to make high-resolution video monitoring affordable for smaller applications. This all-in-one solution can operate over an existing network, is easy to set up, and enables remote video viewing. Users can access the camera and view streaming video from any computer connected to the internet. The DCS-2121 connects to a home or office network using a wireless connection for extremely flexible installation in almost any location.
IP cameras from D-Link have been chosen to monitor the Grand Canyon Skywalk, a new vista destination on the majestic canyon's western edge. The Grand Canyon Skywalk is a massive, horseshoe-shaped glass bridge suspended 4,000 feet above the Colorado River. Since it opened in 2007, over 250,000 people visit the skywalk each year. Because of the large crowds, video surveillance plays an important role in ensuring the safety and security of visitors, workers, and the facility itself. As part of a new IP-based surveillance system, D-Link network cameras were installed due to their outstanding image quality and their support for remote video monitoring.
This week D-Link introduced two feature-rich IP network cameras designed for professional video surveillance applications. The D-Link DCS-3110 and DCS-6110 are versatile IP cameras well-suited for remote and local monitoring of everything from businesses and industrial sites to office buildings and schools.
The University of Texas recently installed IP cameras from D-Link to provide video security for the school's new Health Science Center. The surveillance cameras allow operators to see who's entering and leaving the high-security facility, and work to provide effective access control. The system is also used for monitoring and recording activities within the data center, for reviewing any reported incidents, and for monitoring what tasks are being performed throughout the day.
D-Link has announced a new family of network video recorders designed to offer improved performance and ease-of-use when managing IP surveillance cameras. Both NVRs come bundled with sophisticated tools for video management and camera recording, while offering remote access via the internet. The lower-cost D-Link DNS-722-4 2-Bay NVR Basic supports D-Link network cameras exclusively, while the D-Link DNS-726-4 2-Bay NVR Pro is compatible with D-Link IP cameras as well as third party surveillance cameras.
D-Link unveiled a new addition to their line of wireless cameras this week, the DCS-5635 Pan/Tilt/Zoom network camera. The DCS-5635 provides a professional IP surveillance solution while streaming high-quality live video over the Internet. The new camera offers a host of different ways to view live footage on the go, while still maintaining a secure connection.
