Bosch to include 16GB SD card with IP 200 Series cameras

Published by Dan on May 19, 2010 3:59 PM

Bosch has unveiled a new family of standalone IP cameras, each offering a removable 16GB SD card that can record days of footage inside the camera. The Bosch IP 200 Series is geared towards applications such as small office surveillance and video security for retail shops.

With onboard storage, users have the option of recording straight to the camera, which makes for a versatile, cost-effective surveillance solution. The SD card also comes in handy as a backup recording plan in case of an outage. The cameras can of course stream high-quality footage over an IP network as well for remote monitoring and recording.

Currently there are two separate camera models available from the Bosch IP 200 camera series. The Bosch NBC-225-P features a fixed 4.9 mm, F2.8 lens, while the NBC-255-P comes equipped with a varifocal 2.8 to 10 mm, F1.4 to close CS mount lens. Both cameras offer dual streaming in H.264 and Motion JPEG. Other key features include PoE, two-way audio, and progressive scan.
