Chocolate factory turns to Axis IP cameras for sweet surveillance solution

Just as Axis Communications has claimed a comfy spot at the forefront of the IP camera industry, Lily O'Brien's has a stranglehold on the market for specialty chocolates based on desserts. What else do these two seemingly unrelated companies have in common? Nothing, except for the fact that Lily O'Brien's recently enlisted the help of Axis to provide video surveillance for its chocolate factory in the Irish town of Newbridge.

The chocolate masters were in need of a surveillance solution to not only enhance security for the delicious factory, but also to remotely monitor and analyze production lines and workflow processes.

Seven Axis IP cameras were installed outside the facility and in the parking lot. Five network cameras monitor the reception area and corridors, while ten more keep watch over the factory floor. Two additional Axis cameras monitor production processes and gather technical data.
