Today Axis announced an exciting development in network video surveillance. The new Q1602 is reportedly the most light sensitive surveillance camera available. This fixed bullet camera is well suited for demanding applications such as city surveillance and perimeter monitoring.
The Q1602’s distinguishing feature is its ability to produce color images in minimal light. In fact, its low light performance is projected to be well beyond the threshold of other network cameras. Like traditional day/night network cameras, the Q1602 uses infrared light to produce black and white images when operating in complete darkness.
Also available in a rugged outdoor-ready model, the Q1602-E is protected from extreme weather with IP66-rated material. Additionally, it comes with a wall mount bracket and sunshield. Both versions of the camera feature two-way audio, remote back focus and a varifocal lens.
