Axis P5534 PTZ network camera on display at ASIS 2009
Today at ASIS International 2009, Axis introduced its latest PTZ network camera. The Axis P5534 offers fast and accurate pan/tilt/zoom functionality with 18x zoom for indoor surveillance applications. One of the camera's key assets is its ability to deliver HDTV-quality video, a high level of image quality that Axis first introduced to its line of fixed network cameras and is now adding to its PTZ offerings. The Axis P5534 also features an IP51-rated housing that guards against dust and dripping water. This makes the P5334 perfectly suited for use in locations such as airports, warehouses, train stations, shops and schools.
To optimize bandwidth and storage use, the Axis P5334 can simultaneously deliver multiple, individually configurable video streams in H.264 and Motion JPEG. It also offers day and night functionality for superior performance in low light conditions. To comply with HDTV video standards, the camera can provide resolution up to 1280 x 720 pixels, full frame rate, high color fidelity and a 16:9 format. This allows operators to use high-definition monitors and television screens to view the exceptionally clear and detailed surveillance footage.
The camera's pan/tilt/zoom capabilities are aided by auto-flip functionality. With auto-flip, the camera can pan a full 360 degrees without stopping or hitting blind spots. Other key features of the Axis P5334 PTZ network camera include two-way audio, a built-in SD/SDHC memory card slot for on-board recording, and High Power over Ethernet for simplified installation.
