Axis Communications receives Grand Award of Design
Seems like we're introducing a new Axis IP camera every week, and it looks like the company's hard work is paying off. Earlier this month, Axis reeled in the 2009 Grand Award of Design for its ever-growing portfolio of network video products. The prize is awarded each year to Swedish companies that demonstrate a high level of commercial success with integrated and consistent design work. Dishing out the award is the Association of Swedish Engineering Industries, in conjunction with the Swedish Industrial Design Foundation and the Swedish Society of Crafts and Design.
The main aim of the Grand Award of Design is to spotlight the role of industrial design in profitability and product development. In the case of Axis Communications, the company is being recognized for designing IP video products that are functional, easy to install, attractive, and well-suited for a wide variety of video surveillance installations.
