Axis 225FD network camera now offers telephoto lens option

Axis Communications has added a new tele variant of the 225FD to its fixed dome network camera portfolio. The Axis 225FD is now available with either a standard lens or a telephoto lens. The standard option provides a viewing angle of 36-75 degrees, while the Axis 225FD 22mm, with its vari-focal telephoto lens, offers a viewing angle of 10-20 degrees. The tele variant is especially useful for surveillance applications involving recognition of individuals and objects from high-mounted cameras in spacious locations.

The Axis 225FD is a vandal-resistant, fixed-dome camera ideal for both indoor and outdoor use. It delivers superior image quality with a progressive scan CCD sensor and advanced image processing. The camera's compact design makes it an excellent option for discreet surveillance in a wide range of locations, including schools, transit stations, parking facilities, and more.
